B&W Photographs

This little waiting area made me smile. I have a major soft spot for animals so anybody who frames their dog along with their family makes my heart happy.

Out of Work.

Being unemployed has its great benefits... tanning, working out, cooking every meal, lounging around, very little showering. It also has its huge downfalls... no money, can't pay rent, have to go without beautiful handbags ( Obsessed.), nothing to do all day, and feeling lazy. So I wish I had one of these to go to everyday....

Obsessed.

I cannot stop looking at these amazing bags from Scout & Catalogue! They are amazingly beautiful. The lace and leather one is my favorite. You should also check out their scarves. Sadly, I have to wait until my birthday in December to even think about getting one. :)

Kiddie Lamps.

I don't know about you all, but I never had a chandelier in my bedroom as a little girl. Looks like the trend these days is to have one, even in baby boys' rooms! Since I had a throw back to memories of a little girl as a barrel racer in the previous post, I figured showing you guys some great kids' rooms would be a fantastic idea. I am a 25 year old woman, and I would live in this first room in a heartbeat!

Cowboy up.

I grew up riding horses and thought one day I would be a barrel racer... yea, you heard right- one of those girls who wears a cowboy hat and races her horse as fast as she can around 3 barrels. Does that sport still exist? I hope so, however, I am far from that girl. But the good news is, the passion that I love now can still involve horses!
And a cow hide rug for good measure.

Break.

I have a sick car. She started telling me she needed help when I was on my cross state trip back home from school, and I listened to her. I took her to two different hospitals (auto mechanics), with the help of a hundred amazing people in my life that I can never thank enough, and I thought the car was ok. Then as I was pulling off the interstate at MY exit- she tuckered out. Thankfully, I was close to home this time, and she checked in to a new hospital. I hope they can rescue her and save her life. So... My car is broken so I am taking a break.
Due to lack of transportation, this is what a "car break" means to me...

Adorable Storage.

This jewelry storage idea was so unbelievably adorable that I had to use an entire blog post to share it with you. Immediately! I'm sure these teacups/saucers can be found at antique stores or even the goodwills of the world. Even if you don't have a drawer to store them in, just get a tray and store it on a bookshelf- soo cute!

Bowtiful & Buntiful Hair.

Long haired beauties out there, this post is for you. Creative hairs. I would never have thought to make a bow in my hair even though I adore bows. Genius. My hair is too thick and poofy for a bow, but the Lauren Conrad bun- I can definitely do!
Wanna look like this? Then, watch the video below. Thebeautydepartment.com is Lauren Conrad's new blog and it is amazing. Please check it out. She teaches everyone how to do their hair and makeup and style themselves like celebrities. It makes sense, because she was just a regular gal like us one day.

Colors.

I can never get enough inspirational color in my life. It is amazing how many shades of each color there are and how each shade and tone can match some newly discovered color that I find. Colors make me feel a certain way and I bet they have that effect on you, even if you haven't realized it yet, maybe now you will.
These colors remind me of Sunday: relaxed and rested.
I want everything in my life to be gold and sparkle like these nails. uh, i love.
Warm coffee, and a pale pink peony can turn anything into comfort.
And for the times when you need a little brightness and happiness, aqua and fuchsia are never a bad choice.

Starburst Mirror.

I am baaaack! My final exams were less overwhelming than usual, and yes, I did study this time around. I was missing for 3 weeks, but I promise you guys, it'll be worth the free legal advice you may need one day. :) So in order to celebrate, I am going to post about my favorite home accessory, the star burst mirror! It's like a firework on the wall. I want one in every room of my home. Which one do you all like the best?!

Stop the Worrying.

I found an amazing jewelry company based out of California. Dogeared. Their concept is that jewelry has a reason or a story. Right now, I have been thinking about Mother's Day... yes, Mom! I am in the middle of finals and STILL thinking about you. :) [she will appreciate that, as my biggest reader] I love this necklace. So if I find some extra cash it will be yours, mom.
And the worry beads--> my mom, ahem, used to give me worry dolls when I was little. This is the next best thing! A fashionable way to remind yourself not to worry- for each bead you rub it, think of a worry, and then let it go. I could use about ten of these bracelets now for finals.

"People use worry beads when they are fretting about something so they have an outlet for their nervous energy. Not to worry beads work for that, too, but you can also just wear them for fun, mixed, matched, or stacked! It's pretty hard to worry wearing something this cute..."

Living in the Library.

This week I will be spending all my time at school, in the library, or at my desk. Finals are approaching. Good thing: the semester is almost over. Bad thing: finals are approaching. I think having a library in your home is always a good thing, and much more enjoyable when it includes all your favorite books and magazines (mine will include more magazines than books, unless the boyfriend keeps his stuff in it too, he has a billion books and I have a billion magazines). Anyway, I would much rather live in the home that has a library like these photos than live in the library at my school which is the opposite of these photos; polyester covered chairs, laminate tables, greenish carpet, law books only, and plastic window blinds.

To Fill My Closet.

The only good thing about Summer jobs = Summer wardrobe! I cut the heads off the models or find pictures without their faces so I can imagine what I, me, and myself would feel like in the outfit. Because, when I see a pretty girl wearing the clothes my mind tells me the clothes will make me pretty. Uh, only if I have a team of Photoshop technicians, hairstylists, and makeup artists. Enjoy.
