Black is the New Black.

Black doors are sexy. I really think that the typical door color needs to be black. Too often we let CONSTRUCTION COMPANY owners choose the design and colors of our home- that doesn't even make sense. Pick your own colors!

The best way to make a color pop is to lay it on top of black. That is exactly what this beautiful bathroom has done.
GORG.
(short for gorgeous)

We all know that when it is time to glam ourselves up that we need to put on a LBD (little black dress), well why not add a "little black dress" to a bedroom to make it glammed-up? One accent wall behind the bed will make the room more glamorous.

Most people want their entry way to be colorful and bright so it will welcome their guests and themselves into the home. CHANGE OF PLANS... black makes this entryway more warm and inviting. Makes me want to enter and curl up on the sofa with a fuzzy blanket.

I WILL have this exact replica of the entire bathroom in my home one day. A fireplace? A flat screen? A black  floor? Yes, please!

Have amazing books? Why not show them off with a black bookcase or built in... it is a must

Clean White. Dirty Sofa.

I love white sofas. I think they make any room spectacular, but only for the first month or two of owning them. Then they turn into a mess. I have seen so many friends who have white sofas complain about how dirty they become so fast. Well, I am posing the question, what color sofa is the best alternative to create a blank canvas to add lots of colors? If not, does anyone have a suggestion on how to clean the white sofas??? These are beautiful rooms thanks to the white sofas. I just can't imagine any other color looking as great.

Gray.

The skies are gray today, not quite rainy nor stormy. They are just gray. So I felt like this would be the most appropriate post to make you feel what I see. Only the rooms are much more beautiful to me than the ugly gray sky. And just to let you all know... I had to google how to spell gray. Is it grey or gray?! In America, it is grAy and in England it is grEy. There! I had a grammar lesson for you!

Chair Envy.

Iron chairs in the dining room and NOT just outdoors- yes please! I would have to guess they could be easily found at antique stores and second hand stores. Recovering the seat cushion is easy, so don't let it stop you. And then paint paint paint if you want the look of the lower picture. Oh I can't wait to find some iron chairs. If I do- I will definitely post the before and afters.

My Castle.

I am sticking with the bathroom theme for a little while. Anthropologie has some of the best home accessories. Usually they are affordable, but sometimes they can be very pricey. From my experience, regardless of the price you will end up with a high quality item. Here, I have picked out the items I would love for a bathroom with a white rug and white shower curtain and taupe walls. It could make me feel like I was stepping into a Moroccan or African castle. Nice.

Relax.

Do you start to feel relaxed just by looking at these tubs? I certainly do! I like to take baths more than I like to shower... the new apartment will not have a bathtub- only a shower. I can't imagine what I will do!!! Maybe ten minutes in any one of these and I will get my bath fix for a while. At least, I would hope so. These are spectacular!

B&W Photographs

This little waiting area made me smile. I have a major soft spot for animals so anybody who frames their dog along with their family makes my heart happy.

Out of Work.

Being unemployed has its great benefits... tanning, working out, cooking every meal, lounging around, very little showering. It also has its huge downfalls... no money, can't pay rent, have to go without beautiful handbags ( Obsessed.), nothing to do all day, and feeling lazy. So I wish I had one of these to go to everyday....

Cowboy up.

I grew up riding horses and thought one day I would be a barrel racer... yea, you heard right- one of those girls who wears a cowboy hat and races her horse as fast as she can around 3 barrels. Does that sport still exist? I hope so, however, I am far from that girl. But the good news is, the passion that I love now can still involve horses!
And a cow hide rug for good measure.

Starburst Mirror.

I am baaaack! My final exams were less overwhelming than usual, and yes, I did study this time around. I was missing for 3 weeks, but I promise you guys, it'll be worth the free legal advice you may need one day. :) So in order to celebrate, I am going to post about my favorite home accessory, the star burst mirror! It's like a firework on the wall. I want one in every room of my home. Which one do you all like the best?!

Cute boots.

I needed my rain boots yesterday. Total downpour at the exact moment I was forced to walk outside. I don't own a pair, but I think this picture inspires me to find a yellow pair, or any pair that match my home so they can sit out all the time as decor.

Summer.

This image makes me yearn for a sandy coastline, soft crashing waves, a striped beach towel, and a magazine. I think I may foresee a new bathroom in my future getting a whitewashed, striped rug, and wildflower induced makeover.
